In a month filled with remarkable achievements fighting child marriage and human trafficking, Global Hope 365 is excited to share incredible news with our community!

A Triumph in Santa Clara County

The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted to pass our resolution to end Child Marriage under 18, with no exceptions. This monumental victory signifies a giant leap toward protecting the rights and futures of our children.

We extend our deepest appreciation to Santa Clara Supervisor Otto Lee, District 3, for his unwavering support in our mission to end Child Marriage. Supervisor Lee's dedication to this cause has been instrumental, and we are profoundly grateful for his commitment to this vital endeavor.

We also want to express our heartfelt thanks to all the Supervisors who stood with us and voted for this resolution. Your support is a beacon of hope for countless young lives.

In addition, our gratitude extends to Nancy Bremeau, whose contributions have been invaluable in advancing our mission.

As we celebrate this milestone in Santa Clara County, we are reminded that every step taken brings us closer to a world where children can grow up without the burden of forced marriages. Together, we can create a brighter and more just future for our children.

Recognizing National Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month

This month, our Founder and President, Rima Nashashibi, delivered a compelling presentation before the Orange County Board of Supervisors, and the results are genuinely heartening. The Orange County Board of Supervisors has adopted a resolution to recognize National Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month and to support all other efforts aimed at preventing, eradicating, and raising awareness about Human Trafficking and modern-day slavery!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the Supervisors for taking this significant step. This resolution not only showcases their commitment to the cause but also marks a crucial milestone in the fight against these heinous crimes.

A Pivotal Move Towards Justice

The resolution underscores the Board's dedication to supporting all endeavors directed at putting an end to Human Trafficking and modern-day slavery. This is a vital step towards creating a safer and more equitable world for all.

As we unite in the fight against Human Trafficking and modern-day slavery, let us remember that together, we have the power to bring about positive change and make a lasting impact.

Ending Child Marriage - A Global Endeavor

On another front, this week, Rima Nashashibi took a powerful step towards ending Child Marriage by providing written testimony in support of Missouri (MO) bill SB 767. This groundbreaking legislation, introduced by Senator Holly Thompson Rehder, aims to set the age of marriage at 18 with no exceptions.

Child marriage is a global issue that affects countless young lives, and this legislation represents a crucial stride toward ensuring a brighter and safer future for all children.

A Brighter Future for Our Children

But the fight doesn't stop there! Rima Nashashibi has also submitted vital testimony in support of HB 1455, an initiative to end Child Marriage in the state of Washington under 18, with no exceptions!

These comments will not only reach legislative committee members and staff but will also become an essential part of the legislative record for bill and meeting archival purposes. Together, we are actively working towards protecting the rights of our children and ensuring a brighter future for them.

A New Chapter for Child Marriage Legislation in Virginia

In our ongoing mission to end child marriage, Rima Nashashibi has taken another significant step this month. She has submitted her testimony in support of HB 994, a groundbreaking bill introduced by Karen Keys-Gamarra in the state of Virginia.

The essence of HB 994 is profound: it aims to establish the legal age of marriage as 18 years, while simultaneously eliminating the ability for a minor to be declared emancipated solely based on the intent to marry.

This legislation signifies a pivotal moment in the fight against child marriage. It's a powerful step towards ensuring that our young individuals are protected and can make informed decisions about their futures.

We are grateful for the unwavering dedication of Karen Keys-Gamarra and for Rima Nashashibi's tireless efforts in supporting this crucial initiative.

Let's unite to advocate for this essential cause, raise awareness about its significance, and work together to create a world where every individual's rights are safeguarded.
