On Saturday, June 28, 2025, something powerful is happening in Irvine. Survivors, advocates, families, elected officials, and supporters from across Orange County and beyond will gather at the Jeffrey Open Space Trail for a morning filled with purpose: the 5th Annual Global Hope 365 Walk/Run to End Child Marriage and Human Trafficking.

Why We Walk

Each year, thousands of children in the U.S. are forced into marriage—some as young as 10. At the same time, California continues to rank among the top states for human trafficking.

Only 15 U.S. states have fully banned child marriage, leaving millions of children still at risk.
In California, child marriage is still legal without a minimum age if court and parental consent are provided.
Human trafficking continues to affect over 27 million people worldwide, including right here in our communities.
Human Trafficking is the number 1 rising crime in Orange County.

These aren’t far-off problems—they’re happening in our neighborhoods.

What to Expect

The event begins in the open meadow by the Trabuco Center, where we’ll hear from survivors, law enforcement, elected officials, and the founder of Global Hope 365. Participants will then walk or run along the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, with an award ceremony to follow.
