Celebrating Success: A Look Back at the 4th Annual Global Hope 365 Walk/Run

This month, we celebrated a significant milestone in our ongoing battle against Child Marriage, Human Trafficking, and all forms of Gender-Based Violence. The 4th Annual Global Hope 365 Walk/Run brought together community members, leaders, and activists in a united effort to raise awareness and advocate for change. Thanks to everyone's commitment and energy, this year's event was not just successful; it was inspirational.

A Heartfelt Thanks

We owe a monumental thank you to everyone involved—from the participants and volunteers to our esteemed sponsors and the charismatic Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan, who co-hosted the event. A special thanks also goes to Senator Joe Dunn (Ret.), who served as our master of ceremonies.

Outstanding Support and Recognition

Our sponsors, Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan, Councilmember Mike Carroll, Tustin Councilmember Letitia Clark, Baraa Sarakby and Yehya Dajani, FAM VANS, Sabil USA, Razan Daker, Maya Malas, and Stephanie and Nick Fanelli played a pivotal role. Their support, along with contributions from organizations like Zonta Club of Newport Harbor, helped make this event memorable and impactful. We are also thrilled to celebrate the recognition of our event coordinators, Ayah Daboussi and Zaid Baghdadi, who received Certificates of Recognition from Mayor Farrah N. Khan of Irvine, and Tustin City Council Member Letitia Clark.

Celebrating Our Champions

The spirit of competition was alive and well, with participants showing great zeal. Ryan Glymph, representing Councilmember Mike Carroll’s office, won the 5K run, demonstrating not only his athletic prowess but also his commitment to our cause. 11-year-old Marcus Zhang, a beacon of youthful enthusiasm, who attended three out of our four walk/runs won the under-12 category in the 3K walk again, reminding us of the powerful role the younger generation plays in driving social change.

Sonia Uddin emerged victorious in the 3K Walk Adult category, her triumph is a testament to the broad community support for our mission. Each winner not only celebrated a personal achievement but also highlighted our collective commitment to fighting injustices.

An Exciting Conclusion

The event also featured a drawing that added an extra layer of excitement, with the grand prize of Lakers season tickets. Congratulations to Asha Bans, whose win brought a festive close to our gathering and underscored the generous spirit of our supporters.
